Building A new Home .The details below are just a guide on possible homes that a client can choose. Actual cost will be determined by each individual taste in design and finishes.
- Foundation and Floor: Reinforced Concrete raft slab 100mm thick with A142BRC mesh on 500mm hardcore bed with sand blinding and 500g polythene DPM with anti-termite treatment to all areas under the slab
- Walling: Eco-homes prefabricated modular walling panels(750mm and 1500mm) cast on reinforced concrete, by Bamburi special products Ltd. and manufactured specifically for Eco-Homes Ltd.
- Windows: The windows will be of material and design approved by the client Cost may differ from one home to another . The cost as shown on the sample houses is based on a standard casement window of not more than 800mm wide and 1000mm high.
- Roof structure: Trusses formed in cypress roof members are untreated but could be treated for an extra minimum cost. A standard roof will be of MRM BP-760-28-g Coloured roofing sheet, other fancy roofing styles will be determined by the client and cost will vary from one choice to another.
- Internal & External Doors :The doors will be standard framed flush doors. External doors can be of steel and the extra cost to be met by the client.
- Flooring: A standard house will have a concrete screed floor finish. The floor finish could be of any other material as determined by clients at extra cost.
- Electrical installation & plumbing :Electrical wiring will be done up to the meter box and the client will supply all mains connection from KP&LCO. to the house. Plumbing will be done to the first manhole maximum 1m from the house. Sewer connections and septic tanks are not included in the sample costs
- Finishings: Ceiling will be of ceiling boards 10mm inclusive of brandering and all internal walls will have 2 colours trade grade paints
- Others: The costs to the houses will be subjected to taxes as charged by the Government.
